Perfect your persuasion!
Service Description
Course description How persuasive are you? Could you conceivably convince Eskimos to buy ice? Can you imagine one day standing on stage in front of hundreds of people and delivering your persuasive speech to roars of applause? If the answer is 'not sure', do not panic! In this persuasive writing unit, we will cover everything from the type of language you need to be effective all the way to how to structure your persuasive writing in a manner that is bound to get your readers on side pronto. Anaphora, ethos, logos, pathos, hypophora, dialysis, rebuttal—you name it, we're going to learn about it! Plus, I'm going to teach you some tricks of the trade, which I bet your other classmates don't know! Let's do this! Lesson 1 - Introduction to Persuasion Lesson 2 - Persuasive language Lesson 3 - Effective Evidence Lesson 4 - The persuasive triangle Lesson 5 - Persuasive Devices Lesson 6 - Persuasive Speeches Lesson 7 - Persuasive Adverts Lesson 8 - Review and Assessment The intimate class setting of only four children maximum means that each child receives pro-active personal guidance from the tutor but also allows for spirited interaction between students. This combination creates a wonderful environment for comfortable creativity whilst ensuring that each student is fully supported throughout. All learning will be consolidated with lesson feedback reports which outline the key features of the lesson, ensuring that the knowledge gained can be reviewed and revisited at the child's pleasure. Places are strictly limited to four students to ensure class quality so book early to avoid disappointment. Once you have booked onto the course, please send an email to contact@mlukenglish.com with your child's name and age. I can't wait to get started, see you there!
